WooCommerce Lottery and Raffle Plugins Compared
A WooCommerce lottery plugin lets you sell raffle, lottery or competition tickets through your own WordPress store. We compared WPRaffle with the three plugins people weigh it against most. Of the 16 raffle features below, WPRaffle has all 16 built in across its editions; the next closest lists 6.
Feature-by-Feature Comparison
We make WPRaffle, so read this as a vendor’s comparison. Every entry for the other plugins comes from what that company publishes, checked on October 29, 2026.

Where WPRaffle Leads
WPRaffle is built around how fundraisers and competition sites run their draws. Four things set it apart.
- Every raffle format in one plugin: standard raffles, 50/50s, duck races, ball drops and UK-style competitions with a skill question. None of the other three lists 50/50s, duck races or ball drops.
- Four ways to number tickets: in order, plain successive numbers, random from a fixed pool, or picked by the buyer at checkout. None of the other three lists all four as built in.
- A draw your supporters can watch: winners are drawn on a public live draw page, so the result is visible, not just announced.
- Tickets people can keep: each buyer gets an email with their ticket image, and you can print sheets of tickets with tear-off stubs or draw slips on A4 or US Letter.

How to Choose a WooCommerce Lottery Plugin
Start with how your draw has to work, because that decides more than price does. A school 50/50 needs different tools than a UK prize competition with a skill question and a fixed number of entries.
- How should ticket numbers look? In order (1001, 1002), plain 1, 2, 3 for numbered ducks, random from a fixed pool, or picked by the buyer.
- Who picks the winner? Some plugins draw at random inside WordPress, others leave the draw to you.
- Do you need competition rules? A skill question, a limit per buyer and a minimum number of tickets are standard on UK competition sites.
- What happens after year one? A one-time license keeps working; a yearly plan has to be paid again to stay current.
- Who answers when it breaks? Check the support period and how you reach a person.
WPRaffle (Raffle Ticket Generator)
WPRaffle is a WooCommerce raffle plugin for fundraisers and prize competition sites, sold as Silver ($129), Gold ($219) and Platinum ($289) with a free edition on WordPress.org. Each paid edition is a lifetime license for one site with a year of updates and US-based support, then renewal at half price if you want new versions.
Every edition numbers tickets in order, emails them with a ticket image and has a live draw page. Gold adds successive numbers, the skill question, 50/50 raffles, duck races, ball drops and a limit per customer. Platinum adds random numbers, Pick Your Number, instant wins and minimum ticket sales. Ticket packages are WooCommerce products with a ticket count, and every paid edition runs multiple raffles at once.

How to Set Up a WooCommerce Raffle with WPRaffle
Setting up a raffle in WPRaffle takes two steps in the New Raffle wizard, and the plugin creates the WooCommerce products for you.
- Open the wizard: go to WPRaffle, then New Raffle, in your WordPress dashboard.
- Add the raffle details: enter the raffle name, the starting ticket number (for example 1 or 1000) and, if you want, a prefix such as JEEP and a start and end date and time. Click Create raffle.
- Create the ticket packages: add one row per package with its name, price and number of tickets, then click Create products. The packages show in your shop as normal WooCommerce products, ready for customers to buy.
- Let tickets go out on their own: when an order is paid, customers receive an email with their ticket numbers automatically.
- Pick a winner: when sales close, run the draw on the live draw page so supporters can watch the winning number come up.
You can change every option later in the raffle’s settings and add more packages at any time.
WooCommerce Lottery Plugin Questions
What is the best WooCommerce lottery plugin?
For raffles and prize competitions, WPRaffle has the most built-in features of the plugins we compared: four numbering methods, a public live draw page, 50/50s, duck races, ball drops and the skill question. It is also the only one of the four that lists US-based support and printable tickets with stubs.
Is there a free WooCommerce raffle plugin?
Yes. WPRaffle’s free Raffle Ticket Generator is on WordPress.org and gives 500 unique ticket numbers that then repeat, which suits small raffles. Silver, Gold and Platinum add unlimited numbers and the full feature set.
Can a WooCommerce plugin pick the winner at random?
Yes. WPRaffle draws winners at random inside WordPress and runs the draw on a public live draw page, so supporters can watch the winning number come up. Not every raffle plugin does this; some leave the draw to you.
Which plugin works for UK prize competitions?
Competition sites usually need a skill question, a fixed number of tickets, a limit per entrant and a minimum to go ahead. WPRaffle Platinum has all four built in, plus random numbers and Pick Your Number, with no paid add-ons to buy.
Can I run a 50/50, duck race or ball drop?
Yes, with WPRaffle Gold or Platinum. 50/50 raffles show the running prize total, and successive numbering gives plain 1, 2, 3 tickets that match numbered ducks or balls. None of the other plugins here list these formats.
Do I need a separate checkout for raffle tickets?
No. WPRaffle sells tickets through your normal WooCommerce checkout and payment gateway. The plugin never handles the money, so payments go straight to your own account.
Can I sell ticket bundles like 5 for $20?
Yes. In WPRaffle a bundle is a WooCommerce product with a ticket count and its own price, so you make one product per bundle size. Across 113 raffles we tracked, tiered packages averaged $64.53 per order against $11.18 when tickets were sold one at a time.
What happens if I stop paying for updates?
Your WPRaffle license never expires, so the plugin keeps working on your site; you just stop getting new versions until you renew at half the license price. There is no subscription to keep paying.
Can I move from another raffle plugin to WPRaffle?
Yes. Finish any raffle that is already selling in the old plugin, then start new raffles in WPRaffle on the same WooCommerce store. Gold and Platinum include import tools; contact support before moving live ticket data.
